My Little Brother's A Teenager

Milestone in our home this week, my little brother became a teenager on Thursday. Now I could say James is the greatest little brother I have ever had and he is, ( he is also the only brother I have) Just kidding, James is fantastic brother we often get along though not without our disagreements. I remember Mom telling me the story of how when James was born and I went to see him, I loved going down to the nursery and looking through the window at him, however I wanted the pink baby (the girl baby next to him.)  It makes for a good story now and the picture below is proof that I loved my new brother.

James and I have always had a pretty close relationship and I have my parents to thank for that. They have and do make James and I work at our friendship. Not that we don't fight or we didn't have that ruff patch where I couldn't stand him being next to me. We often argue and we often say mean comments to one another. However, I feel like we do have fun memories together, that we work at spending time together and we do enjoy each others company.
I must say that James is often more patient and forgiving in our relationship. He brings me coffee on rough days, Hugs me all the time, even in public and even if I don't want it. He brings me flowers to my desk when I am swamped with homework to brighten my day. I am pretty lucky to have him for a sibling.

I had a hard time choosing pictures for the last segment we have had so many crazy adventures. I am so proud of the man James is turning into he has begun civil air patrol and he looks sharp in his uniform, he also is crazy genius when it comes to inventing gadgets and things.  He is super smart when it comes to anything science and he has progressed super far on his trumpet these last few years. Here are some super dapper pictures of him.
                                                                He has always been a

I love this one Hunter P

                                                                More of him at CAP

We may not have the best relationship always, however we are still working on it. We love each other and we have each other's back. Here is to many more adventures!

The One Where I Graduate

Hey, Everyone! This girl did the thing, she got her diploma. Not without the help of some dear people. My teachers are incredible through the last few years at the co-op I have worked with me and taught me so many valuable and cherished lessons.  I have been blessed with a loving and hard-working Mother who has spent countless hours preparing and teaching lessons. She has spent time discussing, researching and praying over the best direction she needed to take with my education. My parents have encouraged me through any adventure I chose to embark on. They never let me believe I couldn't achieve whatever I set out to do. They taught me that hard work would always be rewarding, to always do best, and by example, they taught me to put others first and give when I can.  My brother James is truly the best brother in the world. He is my sidekick in life and we have had countless adventures together. He has shown me to accept whatever happens and be happy at the moment. He has taug...

Meet Riley!

Hey, so you remember all those posts I did in July? Yeah, me either....I am sorry guys. Summer has been great! Full of adventures and fun. We had our VBS, celebrated the 4th, I had my college orientation (a hopeful future post), we went camping, and enjoyed many days outside in the sunshine. Along with all these fun summer activities, there has been an addition to our family.     Everyone, meet Riley! A fun-loving, three-year-old, German Sheppard. She came to us through Spokanimal, but she is originally from LA. There, she was found on the streets and had just had puppies. We don't know what happened to the puppies but are thrilled to have her in our family. Riley loves grass absolutely loves it. She rolls around in it all the time and wants to be outside as much as she can. So far, she has loved everyone she has ever been around. The first day we got her we had our VBS team and a couple guys came over and she loved them. Last week we had twenty band kids over for a c...

New Roads

Another adventure I have been up to is driving, I started driver's ed about 3 weeks ago and what and adventure it has been. Between navigating the DMV for my permit, learning to deal with teachers and classmates that are different from what I am used too. Not to mention the actual driving, hehee that has been entertaining. One of my first times out, there was an incident involving a Zip's parking lot, a turn lane and a learning what a drive thru lane is. Moral of story I now know what a turn lane is, everyone lived and I am sure that the guy in the drive thru wasn't in shock for long, whoops! Last night's adventure involved a car trying to cut me off, driving in too close at the gas station,  a imaginary person in the road and hitting a porcupine. (Which I actually cried over) What I am learning is that I am never going to be instantly perfect at something I am going to mess up. The important thing to remember is I have amazing parents here to help me learn, a class ...
