Photo - a - Day: January

Here it is and I know you have all been waiting for it. The photos I took during January's photo - a -day for a year. These are so much fun to take. They are just snippets of your life, but they tell a story. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

January 1st, 2016 - "YOU"  I am not one to snap many selfies, but for these challenges I find myself taking more. The urge to put a million different fonts and edits on it to make it "presentable" is sometimes defeated by whatever time crunch I am in.

January 2nd, 2016 - "Nails" I love painting my nails and was going to re-do them the day of this picture, however I got sick and slept all day. Therefore my nails didn't get repainted so this is a pretty low quality photo.


 January 3rd, 2016 - "Breakfast" My family and I have a tradition of having cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Sundays. What goes better with cinnamon rolls and coffee? Nothing in my book except maybe the worship music whistling through the house as we get ready for church.

January 4th, 2016 -"Weather" This is one of my favorite pictures of this month. This is the view from my living room and I love looking at it all times of the year while I eat my breakfast.


January 5th, 2016 - "Eyes" Here are my eyes, probably my favorite feature of myself. This picture reminds me of the Cody Simpson song "Pretty Brown Eyes" 


January 6th, 2016 - "Favorite Perfume" I love bath and body works stuff and this winter candy apple one smells divine. I use it almost daily. 


January 7th, 2016- "Outfit of the Day" My style is defiantly always changing. On this particular day I was sporting one of my favorite looks, leggings. I love them they work for casual style or you can dress them up. I love that versatility


January 8th, 2016 - "Cozy"  To me there is nothing cozier than a Friday night with my family. This particular Friday night we had pizza, watched Inside Out and had ice cream. 


January 9th, 2016 - "Current Reads" I love reading, but my schedule lately has made reading more difficult. I love the classics, books set in medieval times and a lovely romantic novel just for fun every once in a while. 

January 10th, 2016 - "Morning View"  I love this little church with all my heart and I love the people in it. I love that I have grown up in it and all of our little country church quirks. Someday I want to get married here. 


January 11th, 2016 - "Light" The light God shares around the world is truly a amazing thing. This light I got that this morning was beautiful. I just kept starring at it.


January 12th, 2016 - "Black and White"  This is a wall collage I have under my loft bed. All the pictures are from my sweet sixteen and it makes me smile when I look at my friends each day. 


January 13th, 2016 - "Cuddle Buddy" My dog is great. I love her and all her silliness. We have times in the morning where we just sit on Mom and Dad's bed and cuddle. How could you not love this face? 


January 14th, 2016 - "Upside Down" I had no idea what to do for this picture so James helped me out. I love that even late at night on one of our marathon days he is still willing to help me out with a pointless problem. In his goofy little way. 


January 15th, 2016 - "Flashback" I love this one everything in this picture is a flashback. The paper flowers I made with my friend Ellin at our first sleepover, the picture is from a Sunday School Sleepover a few years ago (I am thinking 2011 or 2012) and  The sign Ellin got me for my birthday, I think of her every time. The tooth pick and marshmallow Eiffel tower was made for me by my loving brother James. 


January 16th, 2016 - "Night Sky" The view from my bedroom window is very peaceful and at night only a few lights are visible. 


January 17th, 2016 - "Smile" I have nothing to say about this one. 



January 18th, 2016 -  "Peace" When I do my devotions in the evenings there is a definite peace that swarms over me. I started a prayer journal this year and I really love being able to see how many ways God answers prayers. I also have kept a journal for several years and enjoy being able to get my thoughts out on paper. It is amazing  how you can enjoy the small things in life. 



January 19th, 2016 -"A Smell I Adore"  My coffee getting made in the morning while I prepare breakfast and get myself ready for the day. Most of the time you can hear my country music playing in the kitchen, mom's workout videos in the living room and James playing with the dog. Then there are the little sounds too. Cooking sounds like skillets sizzling, playful barks, laughter, and the voice of a crazy teenage girl singing along with her favorite songs.  Everyone doing morning routines make me happy and it all starts with this smell. 



January 20th, 2016 - "Favorite Candy" I love these truffles enough said




January 21st, 2016 - "Nashville Filter" I don't use this one often, however I love this view from my dining room. It totally represents where I live and makes me happy.


January 22nd, 2016 - "Time"  I never have enough EVER, yet I am learning to just rejoice in what I do accomplish every day. Manage it better each day and learn how to shuffle things around. Flexibility is the key. 



. January 23rd, 2016 - "Something You Love"  I love finding coffee shops and cafes that have a personality. When I go to them I feel like I am Audrey Hepburn. 



January 24th, 2016 - "Candle" I adore candles of all kinds, My scentzy melty wax candle is the one I use the most. But I use every single kind and I love how the add a homeyness touch. 


January 25th, 2016 - "Nature" I love cucumbers they are one of my favorite veggies, I will eat them like candy. 


January 26th, 2016 - "Animals" Yep, second one of my dog. I love her what can I say.


January 27th, 2016 - "Bedroom"  I love my space. We re-did it in a Paris theme a few years ago and it is a perfect retreat from real life.

January 28th, 2016 - "Jewelry" This is a fun necklace I wore today. It reminds me of a western or boho style.


January 29th, 2016 - "Hairstyle" I curled my hair for my friend's birthday and then pinned it up into a half pony. I think I had a pageant princess look going on. LOL


 January 30th, 2016 - Quote" Peter Pan is one of my favorite fairytales ever and Peter was always my favorite character.  I did the editing on this older photo and it was sorta fun.


January 31st, 2016 - "You (again)" Still no better at taking selfies

    Nice pics. Congratulations at sticking with it every day for the whole month. It is fun to put them all together and see the "month at a glance." :-)

Hey, Everyone! This girl did the thing, she got her diploma. Not without the help of some dear people. My teachers are incredible through the last few years at the co-op I have worked with me and taught me so many valuable and cherished lessons.  I have been blessed with a loving and hard-working Mother who has spent countless hours preparing and teaching lessons. Things I Know and Do Because of My Incredible Mother!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I hope you are doing special for your mom, whether you call her, spend the day with her, treat her with a small trinket of your affection or simply tell her how much she means to you. No matter how you chose to celebrate Mother's Day let her know she is special and you appreciate everything she has done for you.  I would give the argument that I have the best Mother in the world, but that would start a riot with many of you disagreeing with me, including my mom who would tell me she had the best mother. The truth is many of us would say we got the best Mom. In my case, of course, it's true :) My mom does so much for me big and small. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here writing this blog. She took on my education and has never given up on me. She loved me when I was unlovable, she has been an excellent role model every day of my life. My mom has never let me think a dream was out of reach. She has always let me become my own person. ...

Meet Riley!

 Hey, so you remember all those posts I did in July? Yeah, me either....I am sorry guys. Summer has been great! Full of adventures and fun. We had our VBS, celebrated the 4th, I had my college orientation (a hopeful future post), we went camping, and enjoyed many days outside in the sunshine. Along with all these fun summer activities, there has been an addition to our family.     Everyone, meet Riley! A fun-loving, three-year-old, German Sheppard. She came to us through Spokanimal, but she is originally from LA. There, she was found on the streets and had just had puppies. We don't know what happened to the puppies but are thrilled to have her in our family. Riley loves grass absolutely loves it. She rolls around in it all the time and wants to be outside as much as she can. So far, she has loved everyone she has ever been around.
