My Winter Wonderland

      I wanted to share some of these beautiful pictures I took for our town. One of my neighbors asked me back before Christmas if I would take some pictures of the frost and fresh snow. It was truly gorgeous out and it was a lovely stroll with the camera. Photography is becoming one of my favorite mini-hobbies. I love taking snap shots of the majestic art work of our creator.
                                              I have a weird obsession of taking pictures
                                        of street signs. This one is at the bottom of my block
                                       and is a particular favorite to photograph all times of
                                        the year.
                                                I have several pictures of this view. This 
                                           is Highway 27 leaving town. For some reason my 
                                        heart loves this view because I can leave and explore 
                                    the world, but I can always come back to my beloved little town.
                                                      This is if you take Highway 27 the 
                                                                other way out of town. 
                                                         Photographing even glimpses of 
                                                  this beautiful mountain is thrilling. When 
                                            the mist rolls off it, it looks magical. Like out of 
                                            a storybook. 
                                           This is my neighbors barn. This is probably the 
                                         most photographed barn in the history of  barns. I 
                                        am one of the many photographers that fall in love 
                                      with this barn, no matter what the photos always look 
                                     like calendar shots.

                                               Oh how I love the untouched beautiful of 
                                         this place. Nobody's touched it, clear, smooth snow
                                        with God's light shinning. 
                                                      This one has no subject except the 
                                                  vast landscape that surrounds our town. 

                                                     This is one of my four icicle pictures. 
                                                  the sunlight melted the ice ever so slightly
                                                so that the lens caught the drips nicely. 
                                                     The lightening of this one is exquisite 
                                              This one reminds me of a string of diamonds. 
                                                    Our God's handiwork never ceases 
                                                                     to amaze me. 

                                            This is the same mountain I was telling you about
                                          in an earlier shot. I enjoyed framing it with the trees
                                        and the bush in my front yard. This is my view every
                                        morning. How blessed am I?

  This photo shoot is different from other ones I have done. I love all of these pictures and love my little town.

Hey, Everyone! This girl did the thing, she got her diploma. Not without the help of some dear people. The One With All The Updates

Erika and Madame Blueberry   The last few months have been crazy busy, full of adventures and the like. It would take forever to tell you everything that has happened, but I will attempt an overview. Since April I was a stage manager to an amazing show called The Lonesome West . I learned so much from the actors I worked with and the experience to produce theatre in the back of a records shop.  Soon after the show closed I took my finals, loaded up my Cadillac (named Madame Blueberry) and left Ellensburg for the summer. I only had a few days to unload my college boxes and reload Madame Blueberry for my summer job. Camp Lutherhaven  Camp Lutherhaven! What an incredible, God arranged summer. There were days I wondered if I was up for the job, but the people I met and the experiences we shared were irreplaceable. When I was at college I made a comment to my mom that all I had to focus and worry about was me and how easy it was to only be concerned about myself...

What Has Kept Erika From Blogging???

After the first night of shows I was so close to getting February's post in February. I sat down to write this so many times, but with a million papers to write for school the idea of writing more at the end of the day seems absolutely impossible. Which is depressing because I love writing. However, the homework has slowed down, relatively, I mean finals are around the corner. Anyway, I did want to update you on a few awesome things that have been happening in my life. Artsy photo that I took in the dressing room before the show.  First Distracted, the first CWU show I was apart of, went up in January. It went really well I had such an amazing, supportive cast, director, and crew. My amazing, wonderful, family and some family friends came to see me.
